Edna Gearhart (1879-1974). American artist and teacher.

Frances Gearhart(1869-1958). American artist and teacher. Her art works are found in the Achenbach Foundation for the Graphic Arts, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Library of Congress, the Los Angeles Museum of Art, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Smithsonian Institute, the Toronto Museum, and the Worcester Art Museum.

The Book

Hardcover book. The illustrations and verses were prepared by the three sisters in 1929 but were not published at that time. These items ultimately ended up in the Cotsen Children's Library at Princeton University. In 2009, the Book Club of California published these into a book. It is approximately 48 pages. 25 colored illustrations. Designed by Janine Vigus. 1000 copies printed.

Contents

This contains verses and illustrations by the three sisters showing children at play. There is an afterword by Victoria Dailey and a note by Susan Futterman.
