Eutropius (4th Century). Roman historian. He wrote a history of Rome from its founding to the rule of Jovian.
Johannes Alberto Fabricus (1668-1736). German classical scholar. He wrote 128 books, including “Bibliotheca Latina” which contained information on Latin writers.
A Brief History of Rome. A history of Rome in ten books. Book 1 covers the founding of Rome through the fall of Rome to the Gauls. Book 2 covers the conquest of Italy through the first Punic War. Book 3 includes Egypt as a protectorate and the second Punic War. Book 4 deals with the wars in Spain, Africa, and the East. Book 5 discusses the wars in Gaul and the civil war between Marius and Sulla. Book 6 contains conquest of Gaul by Caesar and the civil war between Caesar and Pompey. Book 7 covers the period after the death of Caesar and the beginning of the Roman Emperors. Book 8 discusses the emperors from Nerva through Severus. Book 9 is a history of the emperors from Maximin through Diocletian. Book 10 includes Constantine through Emperor Jovian.
