Author and Commentators

Lore Groszmann Segal (born 1928). American writer. She was born in Vienna, Austria but was sent to England in 1939 to escape the Nazis. In England, Lore Groszman received a degree in English literature at Bedford College. In 1951, she immigrated to the United States. She married David Segal in 1961. Lore Segal taught at a number of colleges in the United States. She wrote novels and also a few children books.

Paul O. Zelinsky (born 1953). American author and illustrator of children books. In 1998, he received the Caldecott Medal for his book Rapunzel and Caldecott honors for three other books.

This is the story of a woman who decided she could not be cozy without a cat. Her grocer brings her a kitten. However, the kitten is not as controllable and cozy as Mrs. Lovewright would like. It was like the kitten had a mind of its own.
