Hearst was William Randolph Hearst, the owner of the San Francisco Examiner.
Lawrence was George R. Lawrence (1868-1938) was a photographer who experimented with aerial kite photography.
Kytka was Theodore Kytka, a noted graphologist (handwriting expert) and photographer who lived in San Francisco.
