Edward Nelson Eager (1853-1934). He was born in Newton, MA but immigrated to California. Eager was a civil engineer and surveyor, as well as a farmer. In 1879, he was a surveyor in Kern County and then later became the Solano County Surveyor and lived in Suisun, CA with his wife Sarah and their children. Eager died on July 13, 1934 at the age of 81 years. He and his wife are buried at the Rockville Cemetery in Suisun, CA.

E. N. Eager also made the Official Map of the County of Solano in 1890.

The Vallejo Land and Improvement Company was incorporated in 1871, issuing 40,000 shares of stock for four million dollars. Its officers included General John B. Frisbie (1823-1909) and Leland Stanford (1824-1893). The object of the corporation was to buy and sell land in Solano County, including laying out streets, building wharves and docks, and improving the lands by constructing buildings. Its incorporation papers indicated that the company would be in existence for fifty years.

John B. Frisbie was the son-in-law of Mariano Vallejo. Leland Stanford served as governor of California and established Stanford University.

The Mutual Label and Lithographing Company was incorporated in 1899 by Max Schmidt (1850-1936). He later built the clock tower at Second and Bryant Streets in San Francisco.
